Is Camp Delton a Year Around Camp Ground ?

The Camp Delton Club is open all year, however, mid October to mid April the water, showers, and restroom facilities are provided at the Club House during that period.

What are the normal operating months of the year ?

Of course the actual times can vary slightly because of weather conditions, the usual opening month is April. Similarly, the closing month is around mid-October. This gives the members 6 months to enjoy the park and the neighboring amenities.

Who manages the Camp ?

The camp is managed by full-time resident managers. The membership is governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of elected members. Each elected Board member is expected to serve a three year term. There are numerous committees which the Board members also serve on. Some of these include, Buildings and Grounds, Membership Sales, Events (year 'round), finance and others.

Does the Town of Lake Delton levy real estate taxes on the member's sites ?

No, but the Town taxes each site for any deck, shed or room additions added to the site however, the trailer is exempt from all taxes. The highest personal property tax paid for 2005 was less than $450.00. Most property tax bills are less than $50.00 a year.

Is the Camp membership for elderly or young ?

The Camp is composed of all ages. There are many families which spend the full 6 months of spring, summer, and fall at the Camp. These are typically retired individuals. On week-ends and holidays the Camp population is decidedly younger. We encourage diversity in each area.

Can I get telephone service and cable or satellite TV ?

Phone lines are available with the approval from the Board of Directors. Cellular phone coverage is available throughout the Camp. Nationally televised satellite reception discs are acceptable. At the present time cable TV is not available in the immediate area. Most Madison television stations can be received with good quality standard antennas.
